To edit an object you can either click on the object to select it or click on the pick object button located in the object tools. If you would like the object to flash you can check or uncheck the []F checkbox and if you would like to see the bounding box area you can check the box []B. The []G check box is to enable or disable the grid.
When an object is selected you can edit using the mouse or you can edit by clicking on the edit boxes listed above. There are 3 possible edit tools. The first is the arrow tool that moves the objects offset values. The second is the scaling tool and the third is the rotation tool.
To enable locking of the axe's you can click on [X] [Y] [Z]. If they are highlighted red then the axes is locked and will not be modified. You must always have 1 axe's locked at all times unless you are in vertex edit mode.
